For Providers | Clinical Practice Guidelines
Clinical Practice Guidelines help providers and members make decisions about appropriate health care for specific clinical circumstances. These evidence-based guidelines are reviewed at least every two years, updated as appropriate, and approved by the Quality Medical Management Committee.
This clinical practice information is intended to serve as a resource for all of Health Care Partners of Nevada (HCPNV) physicians. These represent a series of guidelines that may be used for diagnosing, managing or treating a clinical condition or accomplishing a clinical service.
Information contained in the guidelines is not a substitute for a physician’s clinical judgment and is not always applicable to an individual. Therefore, the physician and member should work in partnership in the decision-making process regarding the member’s care and treatment. Furthermore, using this information will not guarantee a specific outcome for every patient.
We at Health Care Partners of Nevada have chosen specific clinical safety measures to monitor the effectiveness of our care, and to help our members live a safe and happy life. The Quality Management staff routinely evaluates member’s medical records to assess current practice.
